Nima Jacoby
Choreographer, Dancer and Artistic Manager
of Bama Dance Group.
Her work originates in a creative dialogue between dance and various performing arts – music, costumes, stage lighting and puppetry. She danced at the Kibbutz Dance Company and Inbal Dance Theatre, in Israel. During her MA studies at the Laban Centre, London, she researched creative processes in dance. She created dance works for adults performing in Israel and abroad. Her professional experience as a dance teacher for children and her approach of integrating playfulness and imagination in her creative process, has led her to create dance performances for children, which use objects from their daily life, and develop movement workshops. Her works for Bama Dance Group reflect the creative freedom and imaginative vision shared by both the playing child and the choreographer.
